To Meet, Or Otherwise Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABABBCDCDCDDDDDDDD DDEDEDEE

Whether to sally and see thee girl of my dreamsA
Or whether to stayB
And see thee not How vast the difference seemsA
Of Yea from NayB
Just now Yet this same sun will slant its beamsA
At no far dayB
On our two mounds and then what will the difference weighB
Yet I will see thee maiden dear and makeC
The most I canD
Of what remains to us amid this brakeC
CimmerianD
Through which we grope and from whose thorns we acheC
While still we scanD
Round our frail faltering progress for some path or planD
By briefest meeting something sure is wonD
It will have beenD
Nor God nor Daemon can undo the doneD
Unsight the seenD
Make muted music be as unbegunD
Though things terreneD
Groan in their bondage till oblivion superveneD
So to the one long sweeping symphonyD
From times remoteE
Till now of human tenderness shall weD
Supply one noteE
Small and untraced yet that will ever beD
Somewhere afloatE
Amid the spheres as part of sick Life's antidoteE
