To A Lady Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCCB BDDB EFGEEH

Offended by a Book of the Writer'sA
-
NOW that my page upcloses doomed maybeB
Never to press thy cosy cushions moreC
Or wake thy ready Yeas as heretoforeC
Or stir thy gentle vows of faith in meB
-
Knowing thy natural receptivityB
I figure that as flambeaux banish eveD
My sombre image warped by insidious heaveD
Of those less forthright must lose place in theeB
-
So be it I have borne such Let thy dreamsE
Of me and mine diminish day by dayF
And yield their space to shine of smugger thingsG
Till I shape to thee but in fitful gleamsE
And then in far and feeble visitingsE
And then surcease Truth will be truth alwayH
