The Inquiry Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDBDC EFEGHFHG AIAJKIKJ

And are ye one of HermitageA
Of Hermitage by Ivel RoadB
And do ye know in HermitageA
A thatch roofed house where sengreens growC
And does John Waywood live there stillD
He of the name that there abodeB
When father hurdled on the hillD
Some fifteen years agoC
-
Does he now speak o' Patty BeechE
The Patty Beech he used to seeF
Or ask at all if Patty BeechE
Is known or heard of out this wayG
Ask ever if she's living yetH
And where her present home may beF
And how she bears life's fag and fretH
After so long a dayG
-
In years agone at HermitageA
This faded face was counted fairI
None fairer and at HermitageA
We swore to wed when he should thriveJ
But never a chance had he or IK
And waiting made his wish outwearI
And Time that dooms man's love to dieK
Preserves a maid's aliveJ
