The Chimes Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCB DDEFFE GGBHHB

That morning when I trod the townA
The twitching chimes of long renownA
Played out to meB
The sweet Sicilian sailors' tuneC
And I knew not if late or soonC
My day would beB
-
A day of sunshine beryl brightD
And windless yea think as I mightD
I could not sayE
Even to within years' measure whenF
One would be at my side who thenF
Was far awayE
-
When hard utilitarian timesG
Had stilled the sweet Saint Peter's chimesG
I learnt to seeB
That bale may spring where blisses areH
And one desired might be afarH
Though near to meB
