She, To Him, Ii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CBCB DCDCCD

Perhaps long hence when I have passed awayA
Some other s feature accent thought like mineB
Will carry you back to what I used to sayA
And bring some memory of your love s declineB
-
Then you may pause awhile and think Poor jadeC
And yield a sigh to me as gift benignB
Not as the tittle of a debt unpaidC
To one who could to you her all resignB
-
And thus reflecting you will never seeD
That your thin thought in two small words conveyedC
Was no such fleeting phantom thought to meD
But the Whole Life wherein my part was playedC
And you amid its fitful masqueradeC
A Thought as I in yours but seem to beD
