She, To Him, I Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEFEF

When you shall see me lined by tool of TimeA
My lauded beauties carried off from meB
My eyes no longer stars as in their primeA
My name forgot of Maiden Fair and FreeB
-
When in your being heart concedes to mindC
And judgment though you scarce its process knowD
Recalls the excellencies I once enshrinedC
And you are irked that they have withered soD
-
Remembering that with me lies not the blameE
That Sportsman Time but rears his brood to killF
Knowing me in my soul the very sameE
One who would die to spare you touch of illF
Will you not grant to old affection s claimE
The hand of friendship down Life s sunless hillF
