On An Invitation To The United States. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBBDBE FGFGGHGH

My ardours for emprize nigh lostA
Since Life has bared its bones to meB
I shrink to seek a modern coastC
Whose riper times have yet to beB
Where the new regions claim them freeB
From that long drip of human tearsD
Which peoples old in tragedyB
Have left upon the centuried yearsE
-
For wonning in these ancient landsF
Enchased and lettered as a tombG
And scored with prints of perished handsF
And chronicled with dates of doomG
Though my own Being bear no bloomG
I trace the lives such scenes enshrineH
Give past exemplars present roomG
And their experience count as mineH
