Old Excursions Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDDC EFFEGEEG ABBACDDC H

What's the good of going to RidgewayA
Cerne or Sydling MillB
Or to Yell'ham HillB
Blithely bearing Casterbridge wayA
As we used to doC
She will no more climb up thereD
Or be visible anywhereD
In those haunts we knewC
-
But to night while walking wearyE
Near me seemed her shadeF
Come as 'twere to upbraidF
This my mood in deeming drearyE
Scenes that used to pleaseG
And if she did come to meE
Still solicitous there may beE
Good in going to theseG
-
So I'll care to roam to RidgewayA
Cerne or Sydling MillB
Or to Yell'ham HillB
Blithely bearing Casterbridge wayA
As we used to doC
Since her phasm may flit out thereD
And may greet me anywhereD
In those haunts we knewC
-
