From Her In The Country Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFGF HH D

I thought and thought of thy crass clanging townA
To folly till convinced such dreams were illB
I held my heart in bond and tethered downA
Fancy to where I was by force of willB
-
I said How beautiful are these flowers this woodC
One little bud is far more sweet to meD
Than all man's urban shows and then I stoodC
Urging new zest for bird and bush and treeD
-
And strove to feel my nature brought it forthE
Of instinct or no rural maid was IF
But it was vain for I could not see worthG
Enough around to charm a midge or flyF
-
And mused again on city din and sinH
Longing to madness I might move thereinH
