At Waking Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCBCB BBBBDBDB EBEBFBFB AAAAGHGH I

When night was liftingA
And dawn had crept under its shadeB
Amid cold clouds driftingA
Dead white as a corpse outlaidB
With a sudden scareC
I seemed to beholdB
My Love in bareC
Hard lines unfoldB
-
Yea in a momentB
An insight that would not dieB
Killed her old endowmentB
Of charm that had capped all nighB
Which vanished to noneD
Like the gilt of a cloudB
And showed her but oneD
Of the common crowdB
-
She seemed but a sampleE
Of earth's poor average kindB
Lit up by no ampleE
Enrichments of mien or mindB
I covered my eyesF
As to cover the thoughtB
And unrecognizeF
What the morn had taughtB
-
O vision appallingA
When the one believed in thingA
Is seen falling fallingA
With all to which hope can clingA
Off it is not trueG
For it cannot beH
That the prize I drewG
Is a blank to meH
