To Faith Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDDCEFFEGG| Hail holy FAITH on life's wide ocean toss'd | A |
| I see thee sit calm in thy beaten bark | B |
| As NOAH sat throned in his high borne ark | B |
| Secure and fearless while a world was lost | A |
| In vain contending storms thy head enzone | C |
| Thy bosom shrinks not from the bolt that falls | D |
| The dreadful shaft plays harmless nor appals | D |
| Thy stedfast eye fix'd on Jehovah's throne | C |
| E'en though thou saw'st the mighty fabric nod | E |
| Of system'd worlds thou hear'st a sacred charm | F |
| Graved on thy heart to shelter thee from harm | F |
| And thus it speaks Thou art my trust O GOD | E |
| And thou canst bid the jarring powers be still | G |
| Each ponderous orb subservient to thy will | G |
