To Faith Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDDCEFFEGG

Hail holy FAITH on life's wide ocean toss'dA
I see thee sit calm in thy beaten barkB
As NOAH sat throned in his high borne arkB
Secure and fearless while a world was lostA
In vain contending storms thy head enzoneC
Thy bosom shrinks not from the bolt that fallsD
The dreadful shaft plays harmless nor appalsD
Thy stedfast eye fix'd on Jehovah's throneC
E'en though thou saw'st the mighty fabric nodE
Of system'd worlds thou hear'st a sacred charmF
Graved on thy heart to shelter thee from harmF
And thus it speaks Thou art my trust O GODE
And thou canst bid the jarring powers be stillG
Each ponderous orb subservient to thy willG
