Do I Love Thee Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDE FAGGHICI

I ask my heart Do I love theeA
But how can I e'er forgetB
The feelings of joy and raptureC
That thrilled me when first we metB
The memory of each glad meetingD
Is treasured within my heartE
Which has well nigh ceased its beatingD
Since in sorrow we had to partE
-
Each night as I seek my pillowF
I murmur a prayer for theeA
I breathe thy name as the sunbeamsG
Flash red on the eastern seaG
Thy spirit is still the beaconH
That guides me 'mid care and strifeI
And there 'twill remain for everC
My darling my love my lifeI
