Disdain Returned Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDD ECECFF GHGIJJDD

He that loves a rosy cheekA
Or a coral lip admiresB
Or from star like eyes doth seekA
Fuel to maintain his firesC
As old Time makes these decayD
So his flames must waste awayD
-
But a smooth and steadfast mindE
Gentle thoughts and calm desiresC
Hearts with equal love combin'dE
Kindle never dying firesC
Where these are not I despiseF
Lovely cheeks or lips or eyesF
-
No tears Celia now shall winG
My resolv'd heart to returnH
I have search'd thy soul withinG
And find nought but pride and scornI
I have learn'd thy arts and nowJ
Can disdain as much as thouJ
Some power in my revenge conveyD
That love to her I cast awayD
