A Hymn In Praise Of Neptune Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACCDEDE AFFAGGHIJK

Of Neptune's empire let us singA
At whose command the waves obeyB
To whom the rivers tribute payB
Down the high mountains slidingA
To whom the scaly nation yieldsC
Homage for the crystal fieldsC
Wherein they dwellD
And every sea dog pays a gemE
Yearly out of his wat'ry cellD
To deck great Neptune's diademE
-
The Tritons dancing in a ringA
Before his palace gates do makeF
The water with their echoes quakeF
Like the great thunder soundingA
The sea nymphs chant their accents shrillG
And the sirens taught to killG
With their sweet voiceH
Make ev'ry echoing rock replyI
Unto their gentle murmuring noiseJ
The praise of Neptune's emperyK
