I Vex Me Not With Brooding On The Years Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACBBADEFDEF

I vex me not with brooding on the yearsA
That were ere I drew breath why should I thenB
Distrust the darkness that may fall againB
When life is done Perchance in other spheresA
Dead planets I once tasted mortal tearsC
And walked as now among a throng of menB
Pondering things that lay beyond my kenB
Questioning death and solacing my fearsA
Offtimes indeed strange sense I have of thisD
Vague memories that hold me with a spellE
Touches of unseen lips upon my browF
Breathing some incommunicable blissD
In years foregone O soul was all not wellE
Still lovelier life awaits thee Fear not thouF
