Books And Seasons Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDECDE

Because the sky is blue because blithe MayA
Masks in the wren's note and the lilac's hueB
Because in fine because the sky is blueB
I will read none but piteous tales to dayA
Keep happy laughter till the skies be grayA
And the sad season cypress wears and rueB
Then when the wind is moaning in the flueB
And ways are dark bid Chaucer make us gayA
But now a little sadness All too sweetC
This springtide riot this most poignant airD
This sensuous world of color and perfumeE
So listen love while I the woes repeatC
Of Hamlet and Ophelia and that pairD
Whose bridal bed was builded in a tombE
