| With drifts of snow fantastic wreath on wreath | C |
| And peak on peak against the stainless blue | E |
| The Alps like towering campanili stand | F |
| Wondrous with pinnacles of frozen rain | D |
| Silvery crystal like the prism in hue | E |
| O tell me love if this be Switzerland | G |
| Or is it but the frost work on the pane | D |
