The Right Thing Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABA CBA DEA DEA CEA FBAA

Let others probe the mystery if they canA
Time harried prisoners of Shall and WillB
The right thing happens to the happy manA
-
The bird flies out the bird flies back againC
The hill becomes the valley and is stillB
Let others delve that mystery if they canA
-
God bless the roots Body and soul are oneD
The small become the great the great the smallE
The right thing happens to the happy manA
-
Child of the dark he can out leap the sunD
His being single and that being allE
The right thing happens to the happy manA
-
Or he sits still a solid figure whenC
The self destructive shake the common wallE
Takes to himself what mystery he canA
-
And praising change as the slow night comes onF
Wills what he would surrendering his willB
Till mystery is no more No more he canA
The right thing happens to the happy manA
