Lion Please Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGH

Lion HeartA
Please don't tear my fleshly posessions with your sharp teeth so fierceB
I know that you need to feedC
And I know that the Great Romans want to have a good laughD
Satisfy their thirst for revengeE
But why on meF
I ask knowing that this is all wrongG
And my Bones too dry for your throatH

Theodora Oniceanu

Poet's note: "Poem for the famished lion" a sarcasm, thoughtful and kind to the impetuos beast... (We're all holding an animal inside, it's not the animal - with its needs - the problem, it's the human... so yes, I'm a problem. Big one!)
