A Dragoness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEEC FGHF IJIK ILIL IMIC

With wrath my tears destroy you day by dayA
A call for freedom burning flames I spitB
With style I kill to rid of all dismayA
The angel turned to Dragoness my friendC
-
With sorrow dread and terror blessed a worldD
I tame my heart longing for vengeanceE
Our kind was meant to save tales with significanceE
I'm just a Healthy Dragoness dear friendC
-
With wings endowed once known as lovely angelF
I take my flight to castles of dark realmsG
Of fantasy I'm telling stories clutched in rhythmsH
Your spirit enthralled by every philomelF
-
With reverence to great your archer's spears are crumblingI
My skin too thick and rough the scalesJ
In history with chocolate brown and caramels I'm partyingI
A little treat to follow my hard battle daysK
-
The playhouse ours the arena burningI
I swallow all this dream to join the circusL
With high a podium the estrade fallingI
To levels of the grounds contemporaneousL
-
With rage the fires spit from nostrils roaringI
A family of monsters here inflamedM
There's darkness in the shell you loved for daringI
Im just a Dragoness great friendC

Theodora Oniceanu

Poet's note: Written to honour the magical world lost, a Dragoness, the traveller in your nightmares spitting her fires, tamed only by peace found after justice was done. A work that reminds of the dark ages and all the fascination with the luxury of creators_ship.
