No matter what I do
I feel trapped
Nowhere to run to
No peace
I don't feel safe
Just always alone
I had big plans for myself
Had big dreams, going places
Living the life I dreamed
But how do you do that
When you don't feel seen
The house you lived in feels against you
Tears form in your eyes
You try to toughen up, be Okay
Push even harder
But it's hard to do that with just me in my corner
I work hard for what I've earned
Doesn't get praised
What do you have to prove
When you don't care if you even win or lose
I just want peace, to live free, dream big, and accomplish what I need
Because sometimes all I need is me in my corner, just telling me to breathe
