I Stood Musing In A Black World Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGDDHI JKLMNOPQERI SRRTURCVLMRIWEI RRX

I stood musing in a black worldA
Not knowing where to direct my feetB
And I saw the quick stream of menC
Pouring ceaselesslyD
Filled with eager facesE
A torrent of desireF
I called to themG
Where do you go What do you seeD
A thousand voices called to meD
A thousand fingers pointedH
Look look ThereI
-
I know not of itJ
But lo In the far sky shone a radianceK
Ineffable divineL
A vision painted upon a pallM
And sometimes it wasN
And sometimes it was notO
I hesitatedP
Then from the streamQ
Came roaring voicesE
ImpatientR
Look look ThereI
-
So again I sawS
And leaped unhesitantR
And struggled and fumedR
With outspread clutching fingersT
The hard hills tore my fleshU
The ways bit my feetR
At last I looked againC
No radiance in the far skyV
Ineffable divineL
No vision painted upon a pallM
And always my eyes ached for the lightR
Then I cried in despairI
I see nothing Oh where do I goW
The torrent turned again its facesE
Look look ThereI
-
And at the blindness of my spiritR
They screamedR
Fool fool foolX
