Solomon Sakyi Morning Poems

  • 1.
On a bright and lovely day
A mother heard the cry of a baby
The sound that made her gay
The angels sent one of their own for her to carry
  • 2.
    I keep yawning
When I wake up in the morning
    For measuring my sleep
    I know, not too deep
  • 3.
You were so great before men
    The idol we looked upon
Running a scale of one to ten
It was you we ended on
  • 4.
    Alarm is beeping so loud
    Fading away the dark clouds
    Keeping clear the sky
    Up above us so high
  • 5.
    We started from the street
Climbed mountains high to the peak
We look around before we speak
In all, greener pastures we seek
