I Abide And Abide And Better Abide Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCABDAEFFEGG

I abide and abide and better abideA
And after the old proverb the happy dayB
And ever my lady to me doth sayB
'Let me alone and I will provide 'C
I abide and abide and tarry the tideA
And with abiding speed well ye mayB
Thus do I abide I wot alwayD
Nother obtaining nor yet deniedA
Ay me this long abidingE
Seemeth to me as who sayethF
A prolonging of a dying deathF
Or a refusing of a desir'd thingE
Much were it better for to be plainG
Than to say 'abide' and yet shall not obtainG
