Slumber-song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDEFGHIJKLM

Sleep and my song shall build about your bedA
A paradise of dimness You shall feelB
The folding of tired wings and peace will dwellC
Throned in your silence and one hour shall holdD
Summer and midnight and immensityD
Lulled to forgetfulness For where you dreamE
The stately gloom of foliage shall embowerF
Your slumbering thought with tapestries of blueG
And there shall be no memory of the skyH
Nor sunlight with its cruelty of swordsI
But to your soul that sinks from deep to deepJ
Through drowned and glimmering colour Time shall beK
Only slow rhythmic swaying and your breathL
And roses in the darkness and my loveM
