Parted Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDE EFGFHGIIJJKKLL

Sleepless I listen to the surge and droneA
And drifting roar of the town's undertoneA
Till through quiet falling rain I hear the bellsB
Tolling and chiming their brief tune that tellsB
Day's midnight end And from the day that's overC
No flashes of delight I can recoverC
But only dreary winter streets and facesD
Of people moving in loud clanging placesD
And I in my loneliness longing for youE
-
For all I did to day and all I'll doE
To morrow in this city of intenseF
Arteried activities that throb and striveG
Is but a beating down of that suspenseF
Which holds me from your armsH
I am aliveG
Only that I may find you at the endI
Of these slow striking hours I toil to spendI
Putting each one behind me knowing but thisJ
That all my days are turning toward your kissJ
That all expectancy awaits the deepK
Consoling passion of your eyes that keepK
Their radiance for my coming and their peaceL
For when I find in you my love's releaseL
