Atrocities Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBB CCCC DDEE

You told me in your drunken boasting moodA
How once you butchered prisoners That was goodB
I'm sure you felt no pity while they stoodB
Patient and cowed and scared as prisoners shouldB
-
How did you do them in Come don't be shyC
You know I love to hear how Germans dieC
Downstairs in dug outs 'Camerad ' they cryC
Then squeal like stoats when bombs begin to flyC
-
And you I know your record You went sickD
When orders looked unwholesome then with trickD
And lie you wangled home And here you areE
Still talking big and boozing in a barE
