Wedding-hymn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH I

Thou God whose high eternal LoveA
Is the only blue sky of our lifeB
Clear all the Heaven that bends aboveA
The life road of this man and wifeB
-
May these two lives be but one noteC
In the world's strange sounding harmonyD
Whose sacred music e'er shall floatC
Through every discord up to TheeD
-
As when from separate stars two beamsE
Unite to form one tender rayF
As when two sweet but shadowy dreamsE
Explain each other in the dayF
-
So may these two dear hearts one lightG
Emit and each interpret eachH
Let an angel come and dwell to nightG
In this dear double heart and teachH
-
