The Harlequin Of Dreams Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDEFDE G

Swift through some trap mine eyes have never foundA
Dim panelled in the painted scene of SleepB
Thou giant Harlequin of Dreams dost leapB
Upon my spirit's stage Then Sight and SoundA
Then Space and Time then Language Mete and BoundA
And all familiar Forms that firmly keepB
Man's reason in the road change faces peepB
Betwixt the legs and mock the daily roundA
Yet thou canst more than mock sometimes my tearsC
At midnight break through bounden lids a signD
Thou hast a heart and oft thy little leavenE
Of dream taught wisdom works me bettered yearsF
In one night witch saint trickster fool divineD
I think thou'rt Jester at the Court of HeavenE
