Tampa Robins Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBAA CCDDAD EEFFA AABBA G

The robin laughed in the orange treeA
Ho windy North a fig for theeA
While breasts are red and wings are boldB
And green trees wave us globes of goldB
Time's scythe shall reap but bliss for meA
Sunlight song and the orange treeA
-
Burn golden globes in leafy skyC
My orange planets crimson IC
Will shine and shoot among the spheresD
Blithe meteor that no mortal fearsD
And thrid the heavenly orange treeA
With orbits bright of minstrelsyD
-
If that I hate wild winter's spiteE
The gibbet trees the world in whiteE
The sky but gray wind over a graveF
Why should I ache the season's slaveF
I'll sing from the top of the orange treeA
'Gramercy winter's tyranny '-
-
I'll south with the sun and keep my climeA
My wing is king of the summer timeA
My breast to the sun his torch shall holdB
And I'll call down through the green and goldB
'Time take thy scythe reap bliss for meA
Bestir thee under the orange tree '-
