Spring Greeting Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBBCDDDC CCCCEFGC

From the German of HerderA
-
-
-
All faintly through my soul to dayB
As from a bell that far awayB
Is tinkled by some frolic fayB
Floateth a lovely chimingC
Thou magic bell to many a fellD
And many a winter saddened dellD
Thy tongue a tale of Spring doth tellD
Too passionate sweet for rhymingC
-
Chime out thou little song of SpringC
Float in the blue skies ravishingC
Thy song of life a joy doth bringC
That's sweet albeit fleetingC
Float on the Spring winds e'en to my homeE
And when thou to a rose shalt comeF
That hath begun to show her bloomG
Say I send her greetingC
