Would make me feel sad | B |
But I was strong In fact it made me glad | B |
As I parted with my little belongings | A |
I witnessed happy faces gleaming eyes | C |
And hearts singing | D |
One throw to my ball | E |
One hug to my doll | F |
One look at my box | G |
One try of my socks | G |
One bite of my sweets | H |
And many more treats | H |
It was great fun to try this | I |
It was pure happiness and sheer bliss | I |
For now I know the joy you give others | J |
Comes back to you to make your heart glow | K |

Poet's note: The poem is about the joy of sharing your things with others, even those which are dear to you. I wrote it for my son as I wanted him to feel the joy of sharing his beloved belongings with others as well. It has some lovely thoughts in the form of words.
