I reminisced the good times we had,
the times you hugged away my fears
and whispered sweet nothings in my ears.
Sweet nothings that once meant the world to me.
STILL hurt by your lies,
I wept silently.
Tugging at my weaves as salty tears escaped my eyes.
Salty,bitter tears.
LOVE must be a mysterious thing.
'Cos even after lying to me I still adore you.
I still yearn for your voice, your awkward smile,
your scent and everything you.
YOU sent me letters of what happened in your past,
Of why you thought deceit was the safest path.
You wrote you still loved me, asked if I would have you back.
I can see you've been working on being a better man.
TOO many times I've been lied to
but I know you are telling the truth.
As for the question you asked,
My answer is right here. Here in my poem to you.
