Dawdling Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAA AABC DDEE FFAA GGHA

I wake up each morning with the best intentionsA
To seize the day with all my might and make some progressionsA
But soon I find myself lost in distractionsA
My mind wanders and my focus turns to abstractionsA
-
Out of nowhere I lose hope and distractions ensueA
I find solace in everything but what I need to doA
My phone and social media take center stageB
While my goals and dreams become a distant imageC
-
I know it won't be easy but I'll persistD
And overcome my addiction to procrastinate on my to do listD
I'll take charge of my life and make things happenE
And enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done without any action slackenE
-
I'll learn to prioritize and focus on what's keyF
To keep my goals in sight and my distractions freeF
I'll break my work into manageable chunksA
And tackle them one by one with little bumpsA
-
For the reward of achievement is truly sublimeG
And the cost of procrastination is just a waste of timeG
So let me rise above this dreaded foeH
And let my actions speak louder than my woesA
