I was looking on and on at children playingA
-
Beside a distant gate while my mind wanderedB
-
away spreading its branches far far intoC
-
horizons of some other worldD
-
one day when I drop from the branch theirE
-
children will occupy that branch theyF
-
will blossom their own flowers They will bear theirE
-
own fruit and enjoy their honey They tooC
-
will drop one dayF
-
Men women and children all the families keepG
-
Coming into the streets and going back into theirE
-
Houses It is all this much going into the sunH
-
from the shade and going back into the shadeI
-
from the sun like shadows of clouds thrownJ
-
on the earth like the dreams of the roadsK
-
all of us leaves born to some tree All ofL
-
us are flowers blossoming on one branch AllM
-
of us leave everything and depart giving placeN
-
to some others however living our own life timeO
-
who can stop this gigantic wheel hurtling acrossP
-
the void of the universal spaceN
-
It emotionalizes man s centuries it kicks upQ
-
History like dust on the roads What hand canR
Overcome its unconquerable powerS
-
O fate reader set aside all your calculations and callendarsN
O political Overlord throw off your loudspearsN
Listen even the old tree blossoms new flowersN
