Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJDKLKMNKOPK QRST

You may be a mere piece of woodA
You are the one symbol of our labourB
That raised its headC
in the ancient years of the earthD
plough maybe your nameE
but you are that burning letterF
which fell on the earth from the skyG
abandoning the language of the starsH
your touched rousedI
the perfumes of dreamsJ
sleeping in the earthD
and dispersed them all over in the empty spaceK
Before you mightL
Knelt the woods the hills the rivers and the savannahsK
Drinking your spermM
Earth yielded in ecstatic joyN
Large gifts of fruits hearths homes and poemsK
Today in the final page of historyO
You have drawn the burning line across the mankindP
Defining workers and idlersK
Held out the promise of a new sunQ
To the working classes of the worldR
