To tell you that if you want to escape from their clutches | F |

and also your generation along with you | B |

then reject the dolls and picture books that | G |

your father gets you Ask him to get you fields and factories | H |

And tell him they are the toys which you like | I |

If your father cannot get them for you | B |

let all the fathers of the country unite | J |

My children when you go to the colleges | K |
- | |
do you know the fields look at you with tearful eyes | L |

They ask why always this futile procession of books | M |
- | |
in the roads of this country what good after all | N |

did they do to this land | O |
- | |
you go into walls of the colleges from there | P |
- | |
into the walls from which nobody ever returned | Q |

Then when did you live I want to know | R |

Then generation of your father did the same | S |

leaving that very question as their legacy to you their sons | T |

When you walk past holding your slates and books | M |

to my eyes you look like child christs each carrying his cross | U |

Rise my child rise from your childhood | V |

Cast away your books take up your plough break the old chains | W |

and run to the voice of the fields | X |

Bid goodbye to the old roads | Y |

Listen to me I bestow on you the great gift | Z |

carefully saved in my heart Burn this rubbish | B2 |

Roar like the hoary winds and announce that | G |

Your ears will enjoy feasts of ecstasy | H2 |

Come I shall roast your hearts on the flames of my language | S2 |
