The Bangle Sellers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCD EEFFGG HHIIJA KKLLMM

Bangle sellers are we who bearA
Our shining loads to the temple fairA
Who will buy these delicate brightB
Rainbow tinted circles of lightB
Lustrous tokens of radiant livesC
For happy daughters and happy wivesD
-
Some are meet for a maiden's wristE
Silver and blue as the mountain mistE
Some are flushed like the buds that dreamF
On the tranquil brow of a woodland streamF
Some are aglow wth the bloom that cleavesG
To the limpid glory of new born leavesG
-
Some are like fields of sunlit cornH
Meet for a bride on her bridal mornH
Some like the flame of her marriage fireI
Or rich with the hue of her heart's desireI
Tinkling luminous tender and clearJ
Like her bridal laughter and bridal tearA
-
Some are purple and gold flecked greyK
For she who has journeyed through life midwayK
Whose hands have cherished whose love has blestL
And cradled fair sons on her faithful breastL
And serves her household in fruitful prideM
And worships the gods at her husband's sideM
