Leili Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDD EFGFCC

The serpents are asleep among the poppiesA
The fireflies light the soundless panther's wayB
To tangled paths where shy gazelles are strayingC
And parrot plumes outshine the dying dayB
O soft the lotus buds upon the streamD
Are stirring like sweet maidens when they dreamD

-
A caste mark on the azure brows of HeavenE
The golden moon burns sacred solemn brightF
The winds are dancing in the forest templeG
And swooning at the holy feet of NightF
Hush in the silence mystic voices singC
And make the gods their incense offeringC
