In Salutation To The Eternal Peace Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAA BBB CCC DEF GGG HHH

Men say the world is full of fear and hateA
And all life's ripening harvest fields awaitA
The restless sickle of relentless fateA
-
But I sweet Soul rejoice that I was bornB
When from the climbing terraces of cornB
I watch the golden orioles of Thy mornB
-
What care I for the world's desire and prideC
Who know the silver wings that gleam and glideC
The homing pigeons of Thine eventideC
-
What care I for the world's loud wearinessD
Who dream in twilight granaries Thou dost blessE
With delicate sheaves of mellow silencesF
-
Say shall I heed dull presages of doomG
Or dread the rumoured loneliness and gloomG
The mute and mythic terror of the tombG
-
For my glad heart is drunk and drenched with TheeH
O inmost wind of living ecstasyH
O intimate essence of eternityH
