That never will come true | B |
And yet I want them all so much | C |
I think they might don't you | B |
I want a little kitty cat | D |
That's soft and tame and sweet | E |
And every day I watch and hope | F |

But nursie says 'Come walk along | G |
'Don't stand and stare like that' | E |
I'm only looking hard and hard | E |
To try to find my cat | E |
And then I want a blue balloon | H |
That tries to fly away | I |
I thought if I wished hard enough | J |
That it would come some day | I |
One time when I was in the park | K |
I knew that it would be | L |
Beside the big old clock at home | M |
A waiting there for me | L |
And soon as we got home again | N |
I hurried thro' the hall | O |
And looked beside the big old clock | P |
It wasn't there at all | O |
I think I'll never wish again | N |
But then what shall I do | E |
