Heaven invading hills are drownedA
In wide moving waves of mistB
Phlox before my door are woundA
In dripping wreaths of amethystB
-
Ten feet away the solid earthC
Changes into melting cloudD
There is a hush of pain and mirthC
No bird has heart to speak aloudD
-
Here in a world without a skyE
Without the ground without the seaF
The one unchanging thing is IE
Myself remains to comfort meF
