Union Square Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH GIJI ABKB

With the man I love who loves me notA
I walked in the street lamps' flareB
We watched the world go home that nightC
In a flood through Union SquareB
-
I leaned to catch the words he saidD
That were light as a snowflake fallingE
Ah well that he never leaned to hearF
The words my heart was callingE
-
And on we walked and on we walkedG
Past the fiery lights of the picture showsH
Where the girls with thirsty eyes go byI
On the errand each man knowsH
-
And on we walked and on we walkedG
At the door at last we said good byeI
I knew by his smile he had not heardJ
My heart's unuttered cryI
-
With the man I love who loves me notA
I walked in the street lamps' flareB
But oh the girls who can ask for loveK
In the lights of Union SquareB
