To Eleonora Duse I Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCBBCDEDEDE

Oh beauty that is filled so full of tearsA
Where every passing anguish left its traceB
I pray you grant to me this depth of graceB
That I may see before it disappearsC
Blown through the gateway of our hopes and fearsC
To death's insatiable last embraceB
The glory and the sadness of your faceB
Its longing unappeased through all the yearsC
No bitterness beneath your sorrow clingsD
Within the wild dark falling of your hairE
There lies a strength that ever soars and singsD
Your mouth's mute weariness is not despairE
Perhaps among us craven earth born thingsD
God loves its silence better than a prayerE
