There Will Come Soft Rain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AA BB CC DD EE FF

There will come soft rain and the smell of the groundA
And swallows circling with their shimmering soundA
-
And frogs in the pools singing at nightB
And wild plum trees in tremulous whiteB
-
Robins will wear their feathery fireC
Whistling their whims on a low fence wireC
-
And not one will know of the war not oneD
Will care at last when it is doneD
-
Not one would mind neither bird nor treeE
If mankind perished utterlyE
-
And Spring herself when she woke at dawnF
Would scarcely know that we were goneF
