The Wayfarer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE AFAG

Love entered in my heart one dayA
A sad unwelcome guestB
But when he begged that he might stayA
I let him wait and restB
-
He broke my sleep with sorrowingC
And shook my dreams with tearsD
And when my heart was fain to singC
He stilled its joy with fearsE
-
But now that he has gone his wayA
I miss the old sweet painF
And sometimes in the night I prayA
That he may come againG
