The Voice Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGD HIJKLBMK NOLPQRLP

Atoms as old as starsA
Mutation on mutationB
Millions and millions of cellsC
Dividing yet still the sameD
From air and changing earthE
From ancient Eastern riversF
From turquoise tropic seasG
Unto myself I cameD
-
My spirit like my fleshH
Sprang from a thousand sourcesI
From cave man hunter and shepherdJ
From Karnak Cyprus RomeK
The living thoughts in meL
Spring from dead men and womenB
Forgotten time out of mindM
And many as bubbles of foamK
-
Here for a moment's spaceN
Into the light out of darknessO
I come and they come with meL
Finding words with my breathP
From the wisdom of many life timesQ
I hear them cry ForeverR
Seek for Beauty she onlyL
Fights with man against DeathP
