The Shrine Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDDC EFFE

There is no lord within my heartA
Left silent as an empty shrineB
Where rose and myrtle intertwineB
Within a place apartA
-
No god is there of carven stoneC
To watch with still approving eyesD
My thoughts like steady incense riseD
I dream and weep aloneC
-
But if I keep my altar fairE
Some morning I shall lift my headF
From roses deftly garlandedF
To find the god is thereE
