Open Windows Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GBHB CIJI

Out of the window a sea of green treesA
Lift their soft boughs like the arms of a dancerB
They beckon and call me Come out in the sunC
But I cannot answerB
-
I am alone with Weakness and PainD
Sick abed and June is goingE
I cannot keep her she hurries byF
With the silver green of her garments blowingE
-
Men and women pass in the streetG
Glad of the shining sapphire weatherB
But we know more of it than theyH
Pain and I togetherB
-
They are the runners in the sunC
Breathless and blinded by the raceI
But we are watchers in the shadeJ
Who speak with Wonder face to faceI
