Only In Sleep Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEEF ABGB

Only in sleep I see their facesA
Children I played with when I was a childB
Louise comes back with her brown hair braidedC
Annie with ringlets warm and wildB
-
Only in sleep Time is forgottenD
What may have come to them who can knowE
Yet we played last night as long agoE
And the doll house stood at the turn of the stairF
-
The years had not sharpened their smooth round facesA
I met their eyes and found them mildB
Do they too dream of me I wonderG
And for them am I too a childB
